White Pelicans

I didn't even know about white pelicans!

This afternoon, I was talking to a co-worker who had stopped by my cubicle. Over her shoulder, out the window, I saw a small flock of birds high up in the air. Gulls? No... larger than gulls and somehow more streamlined. My co-worker said "White Pelicans" .

Wow. Like the Blue Angels but birds.

This photo comes closest to what I saw, but mine were higher up and closer together, 8 or 10 of them going round and round in a swirl, catching the currents.

Air Ballet. Simply Awesome.
