Weekly Wrap-up 2008_09

The weather has been springy - warm days and foggy evenings, lots of wind. Blossoms are everywhere (often blowing!). When it's warm, the air smells wonderful.

We've moved SpamAssassiin processing off the delivery host and onto our front-end "email toaster". I think that's an improvement.

Whoever discovers the cure for spam deserves to be a gazillionaire.

On Monday, I had second thoughts on the way to the train station, dropped Rich off, turned around, and went home. It turns out I was suffering the leading edge of a gastroenteritis bug that's been going around. I'll spare you the details.

The good news about being home sick all week is that I didn't much notice that I still didn't have my data back from the dead hard drive. I finally got that back late Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday night I had some chicken soup - heavy on the broth, light on the chicken. By Friday I felt good enough to eat a bowl of cereal. Also, on Friday, I merged my data back together and I was up for doing some work. Rah!

On Friday night, I had a nice piece of grilled salmon, a little bread, and some fruit. I seem to be heading back to the natural order of things.

This week I read Smoke and Ashes, by Tanya Huff. I also read two books by Amanda Quick: Rendezvous, and Mischief. All great fun.

In between and around the rest, I've had more than the usual amount of naps and oodles of snuggles with the cats. The Advice Nurse with our medical group recommended rest was the best treatment for what ailed me. :)

Stay Well.

Onward and Upward.
