Weekly Wrap-up 2007_50

The weather has been chilly. I switched to a warmer coat and have been turning on the little space heater in my home office. I also bought myself a new pair of gloves.

I woke up my Pleo while the cats Watched with Very Big Eyes. Pleo also went to work with me.

Driving to the Post Office on Thursday night, I saw a "Darwinfish cat" on the car in front of me. On Friday I found them on the web and ordered three.

We had some interesting meals this week. We made homemade (low sugar) cranberry sauce and invented hammiflower casserole.

As for the latter - what do you do when you have a big hunk of ham in the fridge and would normally make macaroni and cheese but you're trying to cut back on starch? Rich suggested substituting cauliflower for the macaroni. It worked.

In related news, I've been moving my online shared recipe file into our TWiki.

My sister ran a marathon on Sunday: 26.2 miles in 05:00:18. Go Sister!

This week I read Feint of Art by Hailey Lind.

I leafed through a copy of Mental Floss magazine. I wasn't impressed.

In between and around the rest, I've had nearly enough naps and oodles of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends. I've chatted with my sister and found topics to twitter.

Onward and Upward.
