Weekly Wrap-up 2007_45

In November
Dark comes soon.
We turn on the lights
In the afternoon.
(From Fall poems at CanTeach.)

The weather was... autumnal. Lots of morning fog.

Rich installed Mac OS X Leopard on both laptops. We'll try it for a while before braving the desktop installation. . The menu bar is no longer transparent as it was in the betas (phew!) and the new dock is cute.

Fall Back Day. I changed half of the clocks before I went to bed on Saturday and the rest on Sunday morning.

Now, sunrise is when I wake up, instead of when I get in the car. Unless, of course, there's fog.

On the flip side, it gets dark while I'm on the train going home. :(

Dental cleaning this week. This was better than usual. The hygienist had a deft hand with the sonic water spray.

I made a new Bugzilla component (at the Job) called "Geez, where does this go?" It's for things like "I don't think we have any systems in Ireland" or "why did they send this one to us?!"

We've finally found a local pizzeria that we like. Funny, it's been here longer than we have. Somehow, we never tried it.

I attended a TWiki Roundtable meeting Thursday afternoon - a dozen people from The Company and half a dozen from Twiki.net, including Peter Thoeny. Good meeting. Much information exchanged. I made copious notes.

I wore my TWiki Champion shirt.** It was well received.

There were two mousies at the train station on Thursday afternoon. One kept trying to come up onto the platform. Go back mouse; too many hoomans.

They both kept popping their heads out from their burrow and "Eep!" It's still there! It's LOOKING at me!"

Eventually one went running off down the VTA track. The other peeked out a few more times.

So small, round, bright-eyed and brown. At least one had white spots on the backs of his ears.

CalTrain had a major screwup this week It took us nearly 2 hours to go maybe 10 miles.

I've been building a new weblog; this one is a tumblelog. Much Fun With CSS. More info coming soon.

I've been reading, but didn't finish anything memorable this week.

In between and around the rest, I've had nearly enough naps and oodles of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends. I've chatted with my sister and found topics to twitter.

Onward and Upward.
