Weekly Wrap-up 2007_31

The weather was a bit less foggy. Perhaps we'll have more sun in August.

A group of geese flew over alongside the building where I work. I could see their tummies from the window by my cubicle. Honk.

There was a division meeting followed by an afternoon offsite. I didn't go. Because many of my co-workers did go, it didn't make a lot of sense for me to commute down to the Job. So I worked at home an extra day.

Fun With Advertising: I've apparently had five related bits of spammy advertising come through my Junk folder. Only one actually caught my eye.

Subject: With Kaboom you will never scrub the toilet bowl again
The imagination quivers at the possibilities.

(The other four were too prosaic, e.g. "Free Sample of Kaboom NeverScrub". Boooooring.)

Rich likes Phở but I've never cared for it. However, he finally dragged me off to one of the local places and I discovered that I do like the drier "vermacelli" bowls of stuff. I also love the frozen "mango milkshake" with pearl. We've been there twice so far.

Rich took off for the weekend to visit his Dad. The cats and I had a nice quiet weekend reading, napping, and just hanging out. I had avocado on toast and toasted cheese sandwiches (which Bebop shared).

This week I read Tamsin, by Peter S. Beagle,. I also read the first two "Night Creature" novels by Lori Handeland: Blue Moon and Hunter's Moon.

We watched a few more episodes of Monk on DVD.

In between and around the rest, I've had almost enough naps and plenty of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends. I've had a few chats with my sister.

Onward and Upward.
