Treasures 2007_25
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.
-- John Muir
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words. These are my Treasures for the past week.
- Bebop and Squirrel, intent on a small moth that managed to get into their living room. Pounce!
- Evening shadows on the wall - silhouettes of billowing branches and a cat dozing in the window
- A little brown mouse! So bright-eyed and tiny. He came out of a hole in the ground, just behind the shelter at the train station. I was kneeling on the floor, looking for something in my backpack, so I was very close. First I saw his tail, then he backed out of the hole and "Eek! Something very large is looking at me." Scamper.
- Ground squirrels enjoying the late afternoon sun, along Hwy 280 through Stanford
