Weekly Wrap-up 2007_22

The weather has been predominately grey.

Monday was the Memorial Day Holiday (Observed), so no work. We had a quiet day at home.

Tuesday was my usual day to work from home, so the weekend segued back into Work in a nice, quiet, way.

Thursday was the deadline for "goal planning" at the Job. (Feh!).

I realized there are many shades of procrastination, including well-considered, premeditated avoidance. I wasn't putting this off; I was explicitly not doing it until I had no choice. As the man in the story said, "Who knows? The King could die, the horse could die..." Unfortunately, by 4pm Thursday, king and horse were alive and well and I entered some goals into the official Planning Tool.

Palm has announced the "Foleo", a laptop-like thing that will access email and the web via "your cell phone". But no other specs, no indication of other software, and the only cell phone it will support at launch is the Treo.

One of the comments at Engadget says a lot:

Sweet. A $500 partially functional laptop....Oh wait, never mind, I can get a fully functional low end laptop with a 3G card for about the same price.

We watched Chicago, an excellent and "fantastical" musical, on DVD (borrowed from a friend). Afterward, I ordered a copy of the DVD for us.

We also watched more episodes of Monk. We're through season 2 now.

This week I read What's a Ghoul to Do?, first in a new series by Victoria Laurie.

In between and around the rest, I've had almost enough naps and plenty of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends. I've had a few chats with my Dad and exchanged email with my Mom.

Onward and Upward.
