Weekly Wrap-up 2007_20

The weather was pleasant.

Rich and I installed black sticky-back foam sheets in our tv cabinet to reduce the glare from the screen. They work quite well.

My Dad had minor surgery this week. Mom wrote to say he's feeling good and they were going out to dinner.

We bought a new DVD player. Rich got a good recommendation for it.

We bought it from a place in Mountain View. Rich ordered it, then drove down the next afternoon to pick it up.Then he picked me up after work and we had dinner before heading home. !

It's a cute little unit, just a couple of inches thick. The buttons on the remote control glow in the dark. It's possible, with this unit, to skip over all of the WARNING notices. It's also possible to turn on subtitles with the click of a button.

Squirrel had his annual vetdokter appointment; he got to meet some chicklets!

Our Vet Tech's daughters are raising four "Araucana" chickens. Thery're very cute. They're colored like English sparrows. They were peeping about in one of the animal "crates" in the back room. Squirrel got to peek in at them after he was weighed.

We've been watching episodes of the Monk television series on DVD. They're a lot of fun.

In between and around the rest, I've had almost enough naps and plenty of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends. I've had a few chats with my sister and exchanged email with my Mom.

Onward and Upward.
