Weekly Wrap-up 2007_13

The weather was pleasant and springy.

Rich and I went into SF on Tuesday to the SF Perl Users Group meeting. Peter Thoeny was talking about Wikis in general and TWiki in particular.

I moved cubicles on Friday (technically, the facilities guys did the "moving"; I worked from home) so I packed during slow periods on Wednesday and Thursday. There isn't a lot to pack but I had to decide what could be put away early, what had to be last, and get everything in boxes before catching the shuttle bus on Thursday afternoon.

There were some very cute little birds in the tree while I waited for my shuttle bus on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. We chirped at each other. I think they are might possible be red-breasted nuthatches.

I did my taxes. Taxes still aren't fun but they're not hard anymore. I think it took me about an hour.

Sunday was April 1. No Fools we. We went to Dim Sum. (Yum)

This week I read Kiss of Shadows, first in a "new" series by Laurell K. Hamilton. It's urban fantasy with Faeries instead of vampires and shapeshifters. Laurell K. Hamilton isn't for everyone; she blends the supernatural with a solid dose of erotica. But if you don't mind that, her characters are worth getting to know.

I also read Light My Fire, a light paranormal romance by Katie MacAlister. I like Jim the demon.

In between and around the rest, I've had almost enough naps and plenty of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends. I've exchanged email with my Mom and sister.

Onward and Upward.
