Weekly Wrap-up 2006_17

This was a very slow week, all things considered.

The weather was lovely again for most of the week, although Saturday was extremely foggy. It was the "where did everything go?" kind of fog.

Rich finally heard that all of the paperwork is finished to start his newest contract. He went down to San Jose for a meeting.

I had a few conversations with recruiters and staffing agencies. No nibbles though.

That pretty much sums up the week in review...

This week I read 4 mysteries by Leslie O'Kane: The School Board Murders, When the Fax Lady Sings, Death of a PTA Goddess, and Play Dead. The first three are Molly Masters mysteries; Play Dead is an Allie Babcock mystery. I also read Cross Your Heart and Hope to Die, a Blackbird sisters mystery by Nancy Martin.

I watched the remake of Once Upon a Mattress on DVD. The original (unavailable on video) is one of my favorite movies. The remake is delightful, colorful, and well done. Carol Burnett (who played Princess Winifred in the original) makes a wonderful (dreadful :-) Queen.

In between and around the rest, I've had almost enough naps and plenty of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends.

Onward and Upward.
