Weekly Wrap-up 2006_12

This spring is wetter than winter was, with rain, then blue, then grey, then more rain. There's a big storm on the radar for tomorrow again.

This week was the Taligent Alumni reunion lunch. We do these once a year - former employees of Taligent get together to talk and eat.

I had a phone screen for a possible job. Could be interesting. If they liked me, I'll go in for a face to face interview. The company is in The City.

Rich asked if there's parking. I didn't even think to enquire. I just assume that The City is too difficult and/or expensive to drive in and park all day.

We stopped into the hardware store today and bought two sheets of acrylic plastic to put in the windows of my office. That should keep my office warmer. I have screens only, no glass, in two of the windows between my office and the sunroom, so my office gets chilly on rainy days and at night.

This week I read A Harvest of Bones, by Yasmine Galenorn; Pride and Prescience, a Regency mystery in the style of Jane Austin, by Carrie Bebris; Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth, a tale of the Nightside by Simon Green; and Me Tanner, You Jane, by Lawrence Block.

In between and around the rest, I've had almost enough naps and plenty of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends.

I'm still unemployed...

Onward and Upward.
