Treasures 2006_10

Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so.

Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words. These are my Treasures for the past week.

  • Pepperidge Farm peach turnovers; Haagen Dazs Vanilla Swiss Almond ice cream

  • More white lilac blossoms

  • Viewing the world through the eyes of a kitty

  • Sitting on the screen porch with all of the cats around me

  • Sunny days (cold but pretty)

  • Electric Power! (we've recently had two hour-long outages and a weird cyclic "blinking" caused by a busted wire. It's easy to take electricity for granted until it's not at your fingertips. )

  • Lightning (even when it does take out the power)

  • A baby Magnolia tree in bloom. Not much tree but four huge blossoms.

  • Finding new quotes
