Damn Interesting

I have discovered a very... interesting... website. It's called DamnInteresting.com and it's well, damn interesting! Categories include Alternative Energy, Computing, Disasters, Medical Science, Mysterious, Rights & Privacy, Space Exploration, Wonders of Nature, and Your Tax Dollars at Work.

Welcome to our collection of damn interesting things. We few writers have been at it since September of '05, working to provide daily articles about all manner of subjects. DamnInteresting.com was originally founded by Alan Bellows, and he is also responsible for the site's design and programming.

Our site is often mistaken for a news site, but that's not what we're trying for. Though we occasionally post bits which qualify as news, our primary aim is to collect and dispense damn interesting facts and ideas, whether they appeared in the past, present, or the (anticipated) future.

Recent articles cover a clock that is designed to keep ticking for the next 10,000 years, the story of Henrietta Lacks (and HeLa cells), dirigibles in the Army, and transgenic green pigs ("the hope of the researcher is that these pigs can breed true, leading to a reproducible line of glowing green pigs.").
