Treasures 2005_52

Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words. These are my Treasures for the past week.
- Meeting two cute doglets — a woolly black mop dog and a Brussels Griffon
- A perfect Calla Lily
- Lots of fat little brown birds, and the occasional squirrel, at our backyard feeder; the squirrels are especially fun to watch as they eat sunflower seeds and corn.
- Naps with Squirrel. Cuddles with Raven. Sleepy snuggles with Bebop under the covers. Mezzaluna lying on my chest, purring.
- The one-eighth ton Silly Putty story
- Raymond's Sour Dough bread (a local brand), the best. Mmmmm crunchy when toasted.
- Our turkey pot pie recipe, always perfect.
- Nice new rust-resistant carts at the grocery store - no rust, no squeaky wheels that don't turn.
- Installing a cat flap in Rich's office door.
- The sound of rain on the screenporch roof (or the sunroom roof). Enjoying it all the more, knowing that we're all inside, safe and warm and dry.
- And, as this year ends, my best Treasures:
- Richard
- Our home
- The cats
- Our health
- Family
- Friends
- My computer, the net, the WWW, and all of the possibilities they afford...
