Weekly Wrap-up 2005_39
The weather was pretty nice all week. Even the one foggy day (Saturday) was warm.
When I went out to fill the bird feeder on Saturday, the garden was full of chirping (although I could only see two birds and one was a hummer). The bushes were making a lot of noise. Birds like the drippy mornings.
Somehow, there wasn't a lot of news last week...
Rich made chili with a bag of "13 beans" mix. We have about a gallon left...
A new Starbucks has opened in the downtown area. The building has been undergoing renovations for several months. They retained and refurbished the decorative plaster trim along the front of the building, near the roof line. We're pleased about that.
The building is funny shape - a wedge. The interior use of space seems odd. But still and all, they did a nice job.
The Company is heading into the Fall performance evaluation season. I put in a lot of time creating and updating informational web pages in support of that.
September went out. October came in. There's less than a month of Daylight Saving Time remaining. Already the sun sets far too early for me. Autumn is not my favorite season. Winter is worse.
This week I read A Stiff Critique and Most Likely to Die, both by Jaqueline Girdner. I also read half of The Mountain Cat Murders by Rex Stout... then I skipped around and to the end. I couldn't stand the language and writing style too "hard boiled forties" for my taste.
In between and around the rest, I've had almost enough naps and plenty of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals, interesting conversations with Spouse and friends, and email from my Mom.
Onward and Upward.
