That was Easy
Yesterday, our exec. assistants at The Company asked to meet with me this morning to discuss adding a "corporate events" calendar to our Intranet.
This morning, at 8 am, I googled for PHP Calendar programs (that did not require MySQL). I found two or three, tried them, and immediately narrowed the field to EasyPHPCalendar.
By 9:30 am I had a demo calendar configured and set up. At 10:00 I walked into my meeting with the Exec Assts (who were expecting to talk about what might be possible) and surprised them with a working demo. We purchased a license over the web during the meeting.
By noon, I took a look at our as-yet-not-published calendar. Our EAs have been busy! They've got categories, colors, and lots of events... It looks like we're just about ready to announce to the company!
Four hours from Google to Ready-to-go.
I'm impressed.

I got a note from our Exec. Assistants, forwarding a note from the VP: BLOCKQUOTE> Great. Is there a way for us to see an entire month as a snapshot? So that it looks more like a calendar? Not sure, but optimistic, I checked out the EasyPHPCalendar docs... and found the "Text on Calendar" mode. Cooooool. It's So nice to be able to respond to a query with "Yes. How about this!" and a wave of the magic wand.
