Weekly Wrap-up 2005_35

The weather was, for the most part, quite nice last week. It was even warm for one or two days.

I hadn't planned to go anywhere near the Company's new building until things calmed down a bit from the move but I had a meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon. Things were still crazy; no one knew where to find anything. Some of the walls had "wet paint" signs on them. Some of the conference room doorways hadn't been framed in yet. Things were improving by the end of the week.

I made a map of the conference rooms. That is, I took a floorplan and walked around marking the names and positions of each meeting room, then added those to the floor plan with my favorite Graphics program (GraphicConvertor).

I reverted my computer back to Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) and haven't had a lick of trouble. I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of the new G5.

I took Friday off as a vacation day, giving me a four-day weekend. Nice.

This week I read Whisker of Evil, the latest in the "Mrs Murphy mystery series by , Rita Mae Brown. I also read A Cry for Self-Help, by Jaqueline Girdner and A Nose for Murder, by Lee Charles Kelley. I'll be reading the rest of both series. (Note that A Cry for Self-Help is not the first of that series; I seem to have started in the middle.)

If you like dog mysteries, as I do, I recommend A Nose for Murder.

In between and around the rest, I've had almost enough naps and plenty of snuggles with the cats. There have been good meals and interesting conversations with Spouse and friends. I called my sister to wish her a happy birthday and exchanged email with my family.

Happy Labor Day.

Onward and Upward.

Hey, Vicki, I'm glad you liked my first book. Thanks for recommending it. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
