Treasures 2004_32
"Life ... is haphazard and full of beauties which I try to catch as they fly by, for who knows whether any of them will ever return?"-- Margot Fonteyn
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words, These are my Treasures for the past week.
- The handsome, exotic, huge bouquet of flowers presented to me as a "welcome" gift from the Company. I kept it at the Job all week, then brought it home on Friday afternoon. All the kitties had to investigate (no tasting!)
- Some handsome trees with red, orange, or pink poofy flowers, across from the Company where my Job is.
- Sweet, succulent, juicy peaches (one of the regular joys of August). Sometimes unadorned, occasionally with just a bit of ice cream.
- Driving our lever-so-much-fun new car! Rich drove it to SLAC to show off.
- Cocoa Bon chocolate mints (both styles!). These are just too yummy.
- A grey squirrel at the feeder, shucking peanuts. He turns one round and round in his paws, "unwrapping it", then eats the peanut inside.
- The black squirrel at the feeder, eating sunflower seeds. I haven't seen him in a long time! He's so cute - coal black. He looks like Raven only smaller, with little round ears :-)
- Raven requesting snuggies! He walks across my desk between my chest and the keyboard, then "accidentally" falls over into my lap.
