Treasures 2004_05

Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, things that make me feel happy or thankful or interested, things that are worth remembering. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.

My treasures for the past week include

• Watching Raven chase Squirrel into the kitchen, then lie in wait near the other kitchen door waiting to ambush Squirrel when he comes through that end.
• Bebop, Raven, and I sitting on the screen porch watching the grey squirrel at the feeder; watching the grey squirrel run across the windowsills of the porch! (Watching Raven and Bebop watch the squirrel :-)
• Raven demanding attention and cuddles, snuggling as tight into my arms as he can; cat hair on my keyboard
• A nice long email from my mother, including her thoughts and memories in response to things I've posted to my weblog; posting parts of her note as comments to my weblog entries
• A nice long telephone chat with my parents; my Mom telling me I have to stay on the line 10 minutes longer because then it will be midnight (and officially my birthday) in Pennsylvania.
• My parents singing Happy Birthday at the stroke of midnight, EST
• My Birthday
• A nice dinner with friends
• Toasted coconut :-)
• Playing "Chase the Kitty!" with Raven; hiding around corners to jump out and say "Peekaboo"; scruffling the tummy when he rolls onto the floor.
