Cranberry Sauce
We found a simple and tasty recipe for cranberry sauce. We made a few slight changes from the original. Much less salt, half the "sugar" (we used Splenda).Ingredients
- 1 bag of fresh Cranberries (12 oz)
- 1/2 to 1 cup Sugar (or sugar substitute equivalent)
- 1 cup Water
- dash of salt salt
Preparation
- Pick through cranberries to remove soft and/or brown ones.
- Put cranberries in a pot on the stove; Add the the rest of the ingredients. Mix gently.
- Bring to a boil on medium-high heat. Then lower heat to simmer. The cranberries will pop and start to gel.
- Cook until the sauce is the consistency you want, stirring frequently — 5 to 15 minutes.
